Diagnosis

While a diagnosis of sleep apnea can be scary, it is a treatable condition. In fact, there are many steps you can take to help, particularly for mild to moderate sleep apnea.

Diagnosis

What is the testing process?

Step 1

The first step is to be referred by your medical doctor, dentist or psychiatrist. Sleep FX can then test you in the comfort and privacy of your home. We use portable sleep recorders that capture information overnight while you sleep in your own bed. The data collected will be interpreted by a Physician who specializes in sleep-disordered breathing. The Physician will then determine the type and severity of sleep apnea.

Step 2

A Respiratory Therapist will review the specialist’s interpretation of the results and then we can initiate treatment.

Step 3

Some people adjust to the therapy quickly and others adapt more slowly. Some OSA sufferers give up and risk making serious health problems even worse.

We will help you realize the benefits and manage the challenges of the treatment to improve your health and quality of life!
