Pulmonary Function Test. Purpose, Procedure & Risks

We are equipped with state-of-the-art diagnostic equipment that enables us to provide a wide range of tests.

HOW IS A PULMONARY FUNCTION TEST PERFORMED?

Pulmonary function tests (PFT’s) are breathing tests to find out how well you move air in and out of your lungs and how well oxygen enters your bloodstream. The most common PFTs are Spirometry, Diffusion studies, and Body Plethysmography. Sometimes only one test is done, other times all tests will be scheduled on the same day.

Your doctor can request a Pulmonary Function Test on your behalf by completing one of our referral forms and faxing it to our office.  We will contact you with the next available appointment.

Don't just take our word for it

"Sleep FX is an Amazing bunch of people! My family was part of the evacuees from Fort McMurray. My sister lost everything including her cpap machine.....we heard that sleep fx was helping people of Fort McMurray with Loaners while being displaced from our home. I told my sister about it and took her to possibly get one....after battling with her benefits company for help and an amazing deal from Sleep FX she was able to leave with a new machine....A hug for that young lady that runs it was definitely not enough for what she has done...God bless you and your families for your willingness to help in time of need."

"During the evacuation of Fort McMurray we were unable to bring our cpac machines with us. Sleep fx in St.Albert was lending machines out to evacuates at no charge they looked after us with anything we needed. The people in the St. Albert office were so nice and made us feel like we had been a customer for years. Thank you for all you did for the people of Fort McMurray."
